There are many churches that have been practicing baby dedication instead of baby baptism. What is the Difference?
A Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which the believing parents make a public commitment to raise their child in the fear and admonition of the LORD. Baptism is a sacrament by which the person being baptized is announcing their faith in Christ and their commitment to live for him.
What are the requirements for having a baby dedicated at Red Stone Church?
Parents must meet with one of the pastors prior to scheduling a date for the dedication ceremony. Children are normally in the age range of 6 months to 1 year, but exceptions are often made on a case-by-case basis.
